QUOTE OF THE MONTH - AS LONG AS YOU MAKE AN IDENTITY FOR YOURSELF OUT OF PAIN, YOU CANNOT BE FREE OF IT

We're almost half way through June and here is a quote that might either help you, or might just be a bit of extra knowledge to remind yourself of.

Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher born in Germany (you might recognise his surname from the German word 'toll' for great).

I really like this quote because it's not your typical 'hope will make it better' quote, and so it sticks with me more than any other quotes. The fact that it sounds unusual and different has drawn itself to me as well. It lets me have a new, fresh interpretation on it.

What I think this quote means, is that the feeling of pain has to be channelled into something creative (to make an 'identity for yourself out of pain') and then you'll be free of it.

For example, when I feel down, I channel my feelings into either poetry, music or I resort to exercise, which lifts my mood up.

But you might think differently of what this quote means.

And that's what a good quote is meant to do - it's meant to let you think, question and conquer your thoughts.

:-)
